Dal 1 gennaio 2018, ELWA il nostro sistema di riscaldamento a gas esistente in una ex scuola di un villaggio è stato integrato con la preparazione dell'acqua calda. Oltre al calore prodotto dal bruciatore a combustibili fossili, ora quattro adulti e tre bambini ricevono anche acqua calda priva di CO2. Attraverso gli elementi riscaldanti del dispositivo, l'energia viene iniettata direttamente in un serbatoio combinato da 500 litri, con una capacità di acqua calda di 150 litri. Non sono necessari scambiatori di calore aggiuntivi, tubi, pompe, ecc. Inoltre, l'ELWA elimina anche la necessità di manutenzione annuale del liquido antigelo, come avviene nei sistemi solari termici. Il rendimento annuale di circa 1.700 kWh può essere utilizzato al 100% nella casa stessa e riduce direttamente il carico sul sistema di riscaldamento a gas.
