Energy is abundantly available on our earth through the power of the sun. Nevertheless, it is not yet used to the extent that would be good for us and the environment. We at my-PV have therefore set out to change this fact. We want to pave the way to a solar-electric future: Empowering the Solar Future!

How can we make better use of photovoltaic electricity? How can we store it more efficiently and utilize it for more applications? These are precisely the questions behind our innovation: we convert solar power back into heat, making it versatile.

This way, the products of my-PV increase your self-consumption by covering your hot water as well as your space heating solar-electrically in addition to generating your own electricity. By combining the different possibilities, your own consumption increases while your costs decrease significantly.

In technical jargon, this is called sector coupling: We combine the area of household electricity with the heat areas of hot water and heating and also extend the possibility to charge an electric car.


Making better use of electricity with photovoltaics

A conventional photovoltaic system provides electricity for your household mainly during the day. The majority of this is fed into the grid because you will not be able to consume more than 30% of your electricity generation yourself.

An alternative is to install a battery storage system. This is lucrative because the self-use is doubled to around 60%. The disadvantage: The price for battery storage systems is still very high.

But how can more electricity from one's own roof be consumed directly by the household itself?

Hot water with photovoltaics

The simplest of all possibilities: With our patented technology, ELWA, you can use solar power directly and exclusively for hot water. No connection to the power grid is required.

Thus, this solution is very inexpensive, quickly implemented and pays for itself immediately.

Electricity and hot water with photovoltaics

You would like to supply or prepare your electric consumers and your own hot water with your own electricity from the roof? Our immersion heater AC ELWA 2 or our power manager AC•THOR or AC•THOR 9s are the intelligent distribution center of your self-produced electricity from the roof.

Depending on the yield of the photovoltaic system, this is used either for electricity or for heating the water – and that continuously and intelligently! This way, you increase the self-use of the photovoltaic electricity to up to 70 %. Economic efficiency increases significantly.

Electricity, hot water and heating with photovoltaics

In well insulated houses (= heating requirement per m² and year <50 kWh), the space heating can also be covered by photovoltaics.

Of course, you do not have to forego having your electricity needs and hot water covered by the photovoltaic system.

Your advantage: Electric heating, with electricity from the photovoltaic system, saves enormous investment costs! The operating costs are also reduced by up to 30% compared to conventional heating systems.

Roughly calculated, an electric car needs about as much energy as your electric consumers, your hot water production or your electric heating.
