We are now compatible with openWB!

The German charging station manufacturer openWB recently became compatible with my-PV solutions. The special thing about it is that only the surplus from the photovoltaic system is used to charge the electric vehicles. openWB can control up to 8 charging points, both openWB and external wallboxes, and supplies – depending on the yield from the photovoltaic system – the battery storage in the electric car with energy.

With regard to sector coupling, my-PV has so far been on the way to link and activate the different sectors. With our solutions, we have so far opened up the sectors of hot water and heating or space heating for photovoltaics; as an extension of openWB, electromobility can now also be expanded again. And this in an environmentally friendly and renewable way, with the energy from the photovoltaic system and only when there is a surplus.

Our devices AC ELWA-E, AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s can be easily integrated into the energy management system, like in a smart home system. Thanks to my-PV, openWB can thus provide customers with photovoltaic heat in addition to clean electromobility.
