my-PV Cloud: Continuous Expansion of Features

A small retrospective for the two-year anniversary of the my-PV Cloud: numerous free upgrades for our customers! Curious to see what the expert in PV-based heat has been innovating in its digital control center?

In July 2023, the Upper Austrian developer and manufacturer of solutions for solar-electric heat presented its completely redesigned digital platform: the my-PV Cloud. With a clear dashboard, strong performance, customizable views, and the integration of all products (AC ELWA-E, AC ELWA 2, AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s), the free migration was a real added value for many my-PV customers.

But a lot has happened in the two years since the launch of the my-PV Cloud solution. Here’s an overview of the free upgrades and developments around the my-PV Cloud:

Simplified commissioning with QR code (March 2024)

In spring 2024, commissioning of our solar-electric solutions was made even easier – with a QR code and QR code scanner. By scanning, the customer’s solar-electric system can now be directly added to the my-PV Cloud.

my-PV Cloud as a web app for smartphones (September 2024)

Long requested by our customers, available since September 2024 – the web-based app for the home screen of your smartphone or tablet. A step-by-step guide shows how easy it is to install the my-PV Cloud on your mobile device.

my-PV API (October 2024)

With the beta version of the my-PV API, system performance can be controlled, current operating data retrieved, and settings adjusted and sent to the device remotely. Functions previously only possible in the my-PV Cloud are now available via the API for third-party applications.

SoC Widget implemented (November 2024)

Want to check the state of charge of your hot water or buffer tank just like you would with a conventional battery? No problem – the SoC Widget in the my-PV Cloud makes it possible. At least two temperature sensors in the heat storage are required. This enables even more efficient control and charging of the system.

PV Forecast (February 2025)

With just a few inputs, customers can now see the PV forecast at their location – predictive heat management made easy. Will there be enough solar energy today to charge the storage tank? Since early 2025, the PV forecast can answer that question. It is also an essential basis for future features.

my-PV DTO (March 2025)

Use dynamic electricity tariffs directly for heat generation and benefit from fluctuating prices on the energy exchange? Since March 2025, this has been available as a free feature in the my-PV Cloud – fully automated. Another highlight: even without owning a PV system, customers can benefit from low-cost renewable energy for heat generation. All details about my-PV DTO can be found here.

my-PV SPO (June 2025)

Operate your PV system profitably despite the Solar Peak Act? Avoid giving away electricity when no feed-in tariff is paid? The my-PV SPO makes this possible by shifting self-consumption in the form of PV heat to time windows when the exchange electricity price turns negative – meaning no feed-in remuneration is paid. More details about the Solar Peak Optimizer from my-PV are summarized here.

Explore the my-PV Cloud

Not enough possibilities in the my-PV Cloud yet? Here’s an overview of all the features that have been added to the my-PV Cloud for free over the past few years – and are available to you now.

The my-PV Cloud is a powerful add-on we provide with our devices – for the best overview, remote maintenance, and analysis of the profitability of solar-electric solutions.

Would you like to take a look behind the scenes, even without owning a my-PV device? With a demo account, you can easily explore the my-PV Cloud and observe several systems in real-world operation – including many of the features mentioned above.
