New compatibility partner: IBC SOLAR

The solar-electric solutions from my-PV are now compatible with the IBC HomeOne complete PV system. This gives users even more flexibility in efficiently using their solar power.

IBC SOLAR is a leading full-service provider of energy solutions and services in the field of photovoltaics and storage. The company offers complete systems and covers the entire range from planning to turnkey delivery of photovoltaic installations. Its portfolio includes energy solutions for residential homes, businesses, industry, and solar parks.

New possibilities through compatibility

The cooperation focuses on the following my-PV products:

  • AC ELWA 2 – for seamless water heating with solar power

  • AC•THOR – the smart photovoltaic power manager

  • AC•THOR 9s – the high-performance photovoltaic power manager for single- and multi-family homes

These solar-electric devices can now be directly connected to the EMS HomeOne Hub from the IBC HomeOne complete PV system. The key advantage? my-PV solutions exclusively use surplus power from the PV system. Normally, this surplus must be detected via a dedicated measurement system — a task now replaced by the compatibility between the two companies. The EMS HomeOne Hub from IBC SOLAR measures the surplus power in real time and transmits the data to the my-PV solution. This ensures that only excess solar power is used for seamless heat generation.

Benefits for private customers

Integrating my-PV solutions into IBC HomeOne offers users numerous advantages:

  • Maximized self-consumption: Solar power is used directly for hot water and heating.

  • Reduced operating costs: Lower grid power consumption permanently reduces energy costs for heat generation.

  • Sustainability: Combining photovoltaics with electric heating increases energy independence and reduces CO₂ emissions.

With the new compatibility between my-PV and IBC SOLAR, customers gain an even more efficient way to integrate their photovoltaic systems into a holistic energy management solution. The combination of solar power generation, heat production, and storage solutions significantly enhances energy autonomy and cost efficiency.

All details regarding integration and configuration can be found in the joint user guide (in German).
