my-PV continues to grow: Philipp Baumgartner strengthens international expansion

With an expanded management team, my-PV is preparing for its next phase of growth. As the new Managing Director Commercial Operations, Philipp Baumgartner will actively drive the internationalization of the photovoltaic heating specialist.

Since April 1, 2026, Philipp Baumgartner has joined the management team at my-PV. As Managing Director Commercial Operations, he is responsible for the company’s commercial divisions — with a clear focus on international sales. Founder and CEO Dr. Gerhard Rimpler will therefore place even greater emphasis on the company’s technology strategy, which has formed the foundation of my-PV since 2011.

Proven strengths for new markets

Baumgartner brings more than two decades of leadership experience in international companies within the heating and refrigeration industry. A graduate industrial engineer with an MBA, he increased revenue by more than 90 percent over nine years at his previous company — an organization with around 300 employees. At the same time, he initiated a strategic transformation toward heat pumps and natural refrigerants. This makes him an ideal fit for my-PV’s next phase of expansion: combining technical expertise, strong commercial leadership, and an international network.

Internationalization as a key objective

my-PV is already among the leading providers of photovoltaic heating and dynamic tariff optimization solutions in the DACH region. The next step is the systematic development of new international markets. Baumgartner will further develop the company’s structures accordingly—and also strengthen employer branding to attract and retain top talent for my-PV.

“My main task is to drive internationalization beyond the DACH region. To attract the best talent for my-PV’s continued growth, I will further optimize our organizational structure and significantly enhance the company’s attractiveness as an employer.”

Clear roles, strong synergy

The dual leadership of Gerhard Rimpler and Philipp Baumgartner establishes a clear division of responsibilities: technology innovation and commercial growth will now be managed with equal focus. For Dr. Gerhard Rimpler, this is a logical step:

“With this move, we are sending a strong signal for continuity, internationalization, and further professionalization. Philipp Baumgartner is the ideal addition to the management team – both professionally and personally.”
