Total Power at a Glance: New Feature in the my-PV Cloud

With the new device overview, multiple devices in a system can now be viewed and analyzed together in the my-PV Cloud – including a list that shows how much power each device is delivering.

The my-PV Cloud is continuously being developed – and it remains free of charge for all users! New: the device overview. Previously, anyone operating multiple my-PV devices in one system had to retrieve their performance data individually. Now, a single view is enough. You select the desired devices, and the my-PV Cloud displays their combined output in the charts and widgets. The values are simply added together. In addition, a clear list shows how much each device contributes to the total output.

Using the feature is as simple as ever: open the system, select the devices, and track the combined power flow directly in the dashboard or in the charts. There are no restrictions. Only in the charts, if more than 20 devices are selected, the 20 highest-output devices are shown individually, while the remaining devices are displayed as a combined group.

The function can be used with all IoT-enabled my-PV solutions that are connected to the my-PV Cloud – namely the AC ELWA 2, AC•THOR, AC•THOR 9s, and the DC Power Manager SOL•THOR. The HEA•THOR IoT for households without their own PV system can also be visualized in the device overview when several devices are used in one system.

A mix of devices is also possible in the overview

If several of these devices are active in one system, they can now be viewed and analysed together. Even when different devices are used in one system – for example, a SOL•THOR, an AC ELWA 2, and an AC•THOR – the various devices in that system can be displayed clearly.

This is useful wherever more than one my-PV device is in use. In a single-family home, for example, where an AC•THOR supports the heating system and an AC ELWA 2 provides hot water, this creates a clear overall picture of the solar-electric heat input. For specialist retailers and installers who manage several systems in parallel, the view provides a consolidated overview per system while also making the contribution of each individual device visible. And in residential projects where multiple devices work together, the tedious task of manually adding up individual values is no longer necessary.

The added value is quickly noticeable in everyday use: instead of switching between individual devices, you can see the total output at a glance – and thanks to the contribution list, you can still see in detail where it comes from. Like all my-PV Cloud functions, the device overview is available at no additional cost.
