New compatibility partner: batterX

my-PV’s solar power solutions are now also compatible with batterX inverters. With this new partner, my-PV is expanding its compatibility network to include another European manufacturer in the field of smart energy systems.

batterX is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Renusol Europe GmbH and develops smart energy storage systems for individuals and businesses who want more than just to store electricity.

With its energy systems, batterX offers a European alternative that focuses on quality, transparency and genuine practicality. Simple, modern and reliable solutions, personalised communication with customers and partners, and continuous development are at the heart of its approach. Compact systems made from high-quality materials make batterX the ideal choice for living spaces, utility rooms and offices alike, offering energy systems for both domestic and commercial use.

Compatibility with my-PV

Thanks to this new compatibility, the AC•THOR, the AC•THOR 9s and the AC ELWA 2 from my-PV can be connected to batterX inverters. Communication takes place via Modbus TCP, ensuring that surplus PV electricity is used for heating. The necessary measurement data on the available solar power is recorded directly by the batterX system and transmitted to my-PV via the network, enabling stepless regulation of the heating output. No additional meter is required for this, which significantly simplifies integration into existing systems.

What are the advantages of combining batterX and my-PV?

Self-consumption is maximised because more self-generated solar energy is used within the household. In many homes, heating is a major energy guzzler.

The continuous output control based on the available surplus PV ensures that only surplus photovoltaic electricity is actually channelled into the heating system.

In summary:

  • Optimisation of self-consumption from your own PV system through heating

  • Stepless power control depending on the available surplus PV energy

  • Simple integration without additional metering hardware

  • Compatible with domestic hot water systems, buffer tanks and other electric heating systems

  • European system solution with open interfaces and personalised support
