Next Phase of Expansion: my-PV Expands Production Site
Following the successful expansion of our production areas, we are taking the next step at our site in Neuzeug. We are investing around one million euros in additional production capacity and greater energy efficiency.
With the current expansion, we are creating the conditions needed to continue our sustainable growth over the long term while also providing our employees with a modern, comfortable working environment. Following major conversions and expansions in 2023 (tripling of the production area) and 2024 (expansion of the storage area), further expansion measures are now set to follow.
The Two Construction Phases at a Glance
We are carrying out the renovation and expansion of our production hall in two clearly separated construction phases: the first phase will be completed in September 2026, with the second starting at the end of 2026.
Construction Phase 1 - Completion in September 2026: More Space Inside
The first phase is currently under way and will be completed in September 2026. The new areas will then be ready for occupancy and operation. The centrepiece is an additional storey that will provide around 350 m² of new space for production and offices. This will include additional storage areas, prepared areas for heating element assembly, a larger, modern webinar room for expert discussions, training sessions and webinars, new testing workstations, and additional administrative offices.
At the same time, we are optimising our production processes and gradually expanding our production lines from five to seven. This will give us the capacity to continue meeting the growing demand for solar-electric solutions in the future.
Construction Phase 2 - From the End of 2026: Renovation of the Building Envelope
The second construction phase will begin at the end of 2026 and focus on the building envelope: the roof and facade will be modernised, then insulated and clad in the my-PV look, similar to the solar-electric company building. This phase will also raise the energy standard of the entire site.
This will also enhance the interior by bringing in more natural light. Larger windows in the facade will create a more pleasant working environment, which would otherwise have become too dark due to the addition of the second storey. This will further improve the quality of the workplace.
Preparing the roof for a photovoltaic system is also being considered, allowing the solar-electric concept to be extended to and integrated into the second my-PV company building. Several further steps will still be required after the renovation.
Sustainably Heated - With Solar Power in the Future?
With the expansion, we are investing not only in our production capacity but also in greater energy efficiency. In future, the ground floor of the production area will be heated by an energy-efficient air-to-air heat pump, while the upper floor will use solar-electric heating. Conventional heating mats have been embedded in the screed so that electric direct heating can quickly provide the upper floor with the required heat. This step became necessary when the production area was structurally divided into two storeys.
The required PV system is to be added in a further step so that the building services are implemented entirely in keeping with our company philosophy - namely, solar-electric.
Operations Continue Without Interruption
Our operations will continue throughout the construction work. This ensures that we can continue supplying our customers reliably during the expansion.
Ready for Further Growth
With this expansion, we are laying the foundation for noticeably higher productivity and even more efficient order processing. What is taking shape here step by step is the result of a strong team - and a solid foundation for the next stages of growth. In this way, we remain true to our approach: efficient, sustainable, and firmly committed to our site and to solar-electric building services.
