New compatibility partner SAX Power
The battery storage systems from SAX Power are now compatible with the solar electric solutions from my-PV!
Founded in 2019, SAX Power GmbH, based in Erbach near Ulm, develops and produces battery storage systems built on a patented multilevel technology. It is the world's first to output alternating current directly from the battery cells, without any downstream inverter. The award-winning technology also delivers high efficiency levels, most recently confirmed in the Stromspeicher-Inspektion by HTW Berlin. The storage units are manufactured directly at the Erbach site. The portfolio ranges from residential storage to solutions for commercial and industrial applications; combined with intelligent energy management, the devices are also suitable for making use of dynamic electricity tariffs.

Compatibility with my-PV
With the new compatibility, the AC•THOR, the AC•THOR 9s and the AC ELWA 2 can be connected to the SAX Power Home and SAX Power Home Plus battery storage systems as well as to the SAX Power Home Manager energy management system. This requires the latest software update from SAX Power. It ensures that surplus PV energy is used for heat generation. With my-PV, solar surplus can be used for domestic hot water or other electric heating applications in the household, with infinitely variable control. The available surplus is detected at short intervals and used for heat generation to the exact watt – so that customers can get the maximum out of their surplus solar power. This makes even more efficient use of PV energy through increased self-consumption.
