New compatibility: my-PV and Forstner Speichertechnik

The use of solar power for heat is becoming increasingly attractive – and with the latest compatibility between my-PV and Forstner, even more possibilities are opening up for efficient and sustainable energy supply from photovoltaic electricity.

Forstner stands for innovative buffer storage and hot water systems that combine maximum efficiency with intelligent layering technology. When combined with my-PV’s linearly controlled PV heating elements, even higher self-consumption rates can now be achieved. This means: more photovoltaic heat and maximum energy independence.

The advantage of combining my-PV and Forstner

Forstner offers high-quality storage solutions for both residential and commercial applications. my-PV provides intelligent photovoltaic heating solutions, ensuring that surplus solar power is not fed into the grid unused but instead is directly utilized for heating domestic hot water and heating water. The new compatibility with Forstner’s premium storage systems offers the following benefits:

  • Optimized heat distribution: my-PV’s precisely controlled PV heating elements dynamically adjust to the available solar power and store the heat optimally in the Forstner buffer storage.

  • Higher energy efficiency: Forstner’s layering technology ensures that heat is used exactly where it is needed – for hot water or heating support.

  • Flexibility and easy integration: The systems are ideal for both new builds and renovations and can be seamlessly integrated into existing installations.

  • More independence from rising energy costs: Less grid electricity, fewer fossil fuels – more solar power for heat!

  • Backup system: If sunlight is insufficient, hot water can still be heated to the desired temperature using electricity from the public grid.

The new Forstner hygiene system storage tanks are perfectly matched with my-PV’s AC ELWA 2 PV heating elements and the AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s photovoltaic power managers, which control screw-in heating elements linearly.
